Finland reached top of their World Cup qualifying group after beating Poland by two goals to one in Helsinki Olympic Stadium late Tuesday night.
Joel Pohjanpalo scored the first goal for the hosts at 31st minute from a penalty kick while Benjamin Kallman widened the gap at 64th minute.
Jakub Kiwior scored the lone goal for Poland just after five minutes to reduce the gap.
The game, however, was disrupted when the referee suspended the match at the 80th minute following illness of one of the fans.
Players of both the teams left the ground and doctors were trying to resuscitate the fan resulting suspension of the match for more than 40 minutes.
Later the match resumed but none of the teams was able to score in the remaining time as a results Finland left the ground with a 2-1 victory.
Poland had to play without their all-time leading scorer Robert Lewandowski as he withdrew himself from the Poland national team, citing a "loss of trust" in head coach Michal Probierz.
Finland reached top in the Group G with seven points in four matches, one point ahead of the Netherlands, although the Dutch have two matches in hand.
Poland remained at third place with six points in three matches followed by Lithuania and Malta.
