Manchester United edged into the FA Cup semifinals on Sunday, beating Liverpool 4-3 in a match which saw the lead changed several times and a late drama, reported Xinhua.

Amad Diallo won the tie for Manchester United in the last minute of extra-time after Harvey Elliott had put Liverpool 3-2 in front with 15 minutes left to play.

Scott McTominay opened the scoring in the 10th minute, but two goals in two minutes from Alexis Mac Allister and Mohamed Salah turned it around for Liverpool on the stroke of halftime.

Antony took the game into extra-time with his 87th-minute goal after beating three defenders.

Elliott restored Liverpool's lead in the extra time, but Marcus Rashford and then Diallo scored the goals to make Old Trafford wild.

In the other quarterfinal fixture, two goals in injury time gifted Chelsea a 4-2 win over Leicester City.

Marc Cucurella put Chelsea ahead in the 13th minute when Nicolas Jackson left him with a tap-in.

Chelsea should have doubled their lead soon afterwards, but Jakub Stolarczyk saved Raheem Sterling's tame penalty.

Sterling then redeemed himself with some good work out wide that allowed Cole Palmer to double Chelsea's lead just before halftime.

A bizarre own goal from Axel Disasi, who somehow hit a backpass into his own net, got Leicester back into the game and Stephy Alvaro Mavididi made it 2-2 after a great run and shot.

Leicester then had Callum Doyle sent off, and Carney Chukwuemeka and Noni Madueke broke Leicester's hearts with goals after 92nd and 98th minutes.

On Saturday, two first half goals from Bernardo Silva saw FA Cup holder Manchester City to a comfortable 2-0 win at home to Newcastle United.

Silva scored in the 13th minute with a deflected shot and he doubled the lead in the 31st minute after another deflection helped put Manchester City in complete control against a rival that never looked like getting back into the game.

Championship side Coventry City pulled off one of the greatest FA Cup fightbacks to win 3-2 away to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Ellis Simms put Coventry ahead in the 53rd minute through Ellis Simms, but Wolves looked set to progress as Rayan Ait-Nouri leveled in the 83rd minute and Hugo Bueno put them 2-1 up five minutes later.

Simms headed Coventry level from close range in the seventh minutes of injury time and Haji Wright cooly slotted home in the 100th minute to send the visiting fans wild.

In the FA Cup semis to be played on the weekend of April 20-21, Coventry faces Manchester United, and Manchester City takes on Chelsea.
