Jakob Ingebrigtsen of Norway won the men's 1500m final here on Saturday at the Tokyo Olympics, reported Xinhua.
Race favorite Timothy Cheruiyot of Kenya was in the lead but Ingebrigtsen made a late move to overtake Cheruiyot to finish first with a new Olympic record of 3:28.32.
Cheruiyot won silver at 3:29.01 and Josh Kerr of Britain took bronze in a personal best of 3:29.05.
