Estonia women's epee team grab gold at Tokyo

Estonia have been crowned the women's epee team Olympic champions after defeating Italy 36-32 in the final at the Tokyo Games on Tuesday, reported Xinhua.

The team of Julia Beljajeva, Katrina Lehis, and Erika Kirpu just won their country's first summer gold medal since Beijing 2008.

Song Sera built a 13-10 lead for South Korea in the third bout, but in the deciding bout Lehis beat South Korea's Injeong Choi 10-6.

Top-seeded China lost to South Korea 38-29 in the semifinal, after women's individual champion Sun Yiwen was injured and replaced in the fourth bout.

Italy beat China 23-21 in the bronze medal bout.
