Finland score 3rd consecutive victory in Ice Hockey WC

An early score by Anton Lundell in the first period and wining goal by Arttu Ruotsalainen in the third period brought a victory for Finland against Germany in the Ice Hockey World Championship 2021 at Arena Riga in Latvia on Saturday.
The Lions won the match by 2 goals to one to ensure their third consecutive victory in the tight match and upheld the top position in the Group B with 13 points.
The defending world champions took the lead when Anton Lundell scored his third goal in the tournament at the seventh minute of the match.
Both the teams tried hard to dominate the match through attacks and counter attacks and the Germans leveled the score at the 28th minute in the second period. Korbinian Holzer scored the solitary goal for the Germany.
Although both the teams created several opportunities, the Finns made 26 shots on Germany goal while the Germans made 13 shots.
Earlier, in four previous matches, Finland scored victory against the USA, Norway and Italy while lost to Kazakhistan in penalty shoutout.
The Finns will face the host Latvia on Sunday.
