Suarez to return for Barcelona

FC Barcelona striker Luis Suarez has been cleared to play when Spain's La Liga restarts, reported Xinhua.

The Uruguayan had surgery on his right knee on January 12 and had been expected to be sidelined for between four and five months, meaning he would have missed most of the rest of the competition.

However, La Liga's three-month break due to the COVID-19 pandemic has allowed the 33-year-old enough time to recover from his injury. Barcelona claim he will be available for their match against Real Mallorca on June 13.

Barcelona lead La Liga by two points from Real Madrid with 11 rounds of matches still to play.
