19 killed road mishaps in Finland in September

A total of 19 persons were killed and 301 others injured in 257 road accidents in Finland in September, according to Statistics Finland.

The number of fatalities was seven higher and the number of persons injured 11 higher than in September 2025.

Out of the deceased, eight travelled by passenger car, two by van, two by moped and one by motorcycle.

Four pedestrians, one cyclist and one road user were also killed.

Among those who died, 16 were men and three women.

Meanwhile, a total of 136 people were killed and 2,310 others injured in 1,842 road traffic accidents in Finland in January-September period.
