Finland will deliver its 35th materiel assistance package to Ukraine, said the Ministry of Defence in a press release after the President approved the government proposal in this regard on Friday.

The overall value of the package to be delivered now to Ukraine is around EUR 1 million.

It contains items of a single defence product donated from the Finnish Defence Forces’ stocks.

Finland has already started preparations for the next, broader package.

The total value of the defence materiel Finland has delivered to Ukraine has now reached EUR 3.6 billion.

“Finland speeded up this decision to deliver on an urgent request from Ukraine. We will not close our eyes to Ukrainians’ hour of need. Instead, we will stand with Ukraine and continue our materiel assistance deliveries,” said Defence Minister Antti Häkkänen in the press release.

For operational reasons and to ensure that the delivery reaches its destination, more detailed information on the content of the assistance, manner of delivery or schedule will not be provided.
