95 killed in road mishaps in Finland in H1

A total of 95 persons were killed and 1,657 others injured in 1,308 road traffic accidents in Finland in the first six months of this year, according to Statistics Finland.
The number of deaths, however, was three lower and the number of persons injured 10 lower than in the corresponding period of 2025.
Of the persons who were killed, 58 travelled by passenger car, three by van, two by moped and nine by motorcycle.
13 pedestrians and one rider of a light electric vehicles, one cyclist on a traditional bicycle and two cyclists on an electric bicycle were killed.
In addition, six other road users were killed in the January-June period.
