Teenager held for stabbing teenager in Nurmijärvi

A teenager came under knife attack by another teenager in Nurmijärvi, a municipality under Uusimaa region on Sunday, police said in a press release on Monday.

The incident took place in the evening when a 15-year-old person attacked a 19-year-old with sharp weapon at Klaukkala School ground.

Responding to an alarm, police and rescue service people rushed to the spot but the suspect already left the scene.

The injured person was taken to hospital.

Police conducted search at the locality and arrested the suspect in the same evening and recovered the knife used in the attack.

Police, however, did not divulge the identities of the suspect and the victim at the preliminary stage of the investigation.

They are investigating into the case as attempted murder.
