Stubb´s illness leads to cancel Moldovan president's Finland visit

The working visit to Finland by the President of Moldova, Maia Sandu, scheduled for Tuesday has been cancelled due to illness of President Alexander Stubb, said the President Office in a press release on Monday.
Stubb having come down with a viral infection, said the press release, adding that a new date for the visit will be announced later.
Earlier this month, the President office announced that Sandu will pay a working visit to Finland on Tuesday 31 March 2026 hosted by Stubb.
They were scheduled meet at the Presidential Palace in Helsinki to discuss bilateral relations between Finland and Moldova, as well as Russia’s illegal war of aggression in Ukraine, the overall security situation in Europe, Moldova’s EU accession process, transatlantic relations, and global challenges.
Sandu was also scheduled to participate in a discussion on Moldova’s EU accession process, organised by the Finnish Institute of International Affairs (FIIA), at the Parliament of Finland.
