9 killed in road mishaps in January in Finland

A total of nine people were killed and 205 others injured in 149 road accidents in Finland in January, according to Statistics Finland.

The number of fatalities was four lower and the number of persons injured 29 higher in January this year compared to January 2025.

Of the persons who were killed, six travelled by passenger car and three were pedestrians.

Among the deceased three were men and six women.
