180 killed, 3192 injured in road mishaps in Finland last year

A total of 180 people were killed and 3,192 others injured in 2,612 road traffic accidents in Finland in 2025, according to Statistics Finland.

The number of deaths was one lower and the number of persons injured 254 lower than in 2024.

Of the persons who were killed, 96 travelled by passenger car, 11 by van, one by moped, 17 by motorcycle and two by lorry.

In addition, 25 pedestrians, two riders of a light electric vehicle, 18 cyclists on a traditional bicycle, two cyclists on an electric bicycle and six other road users were killed.
