3 killed in road mishap in Hämeenlinna

Three people were killed and another was injured in a road accident in Hämeenlinna, a municipality under Kanta-Häme region on Tuesday afternoon, police said.
The accident took place at about 4:00 p.m. on highway 10 when two private cars collided head in between Hämeenlinna and Tammela.
Three people died on the spot in the accident while one was injured critically.
The injured person was taken to hospital.
The police, however, did not divulge the identities of the deceased and the injured person.
The reason behind the accident could not be known immediately.
Police and the Accident Investigation Board are investigating into the accident to find out more information in this regard.
Vehicular movement on the road remained suspended for three hours due to the accident.
