Supply water in capital region ready for normal use

The health authority on Wednesday discontinued its recommendation to boil water at several areas in the capital region as all water samples were found clean, said Helsinki Region Environmental Services (HSY) in a press release.

The authority also apologized for the inconvenience caused to the customers following the disruption due to leakage in water pipeline at Mäkkylä in Espoo.

The leak from the main water pipe caused disruption to a widespread water distribution in Espoo, Kauniainen north and east of Turunväylä and in Linnainen, Vantaa.

The authority on Monday said drinking water and water used for cooking must be boiled.
