Haavisto congratulates Stubb on election

Vihreä Liitto (Green Party) leader Pekka Haavisto, who was narrowly defeated to Kansallinen Kokoomus (National Coalition Party-NCP) candidate Alexander Stubb in the presidential election congratulated the newly elected President Stubb.

Haavisto in a post in his social media platform also assured to extend all-out cooperation to Stubb to discharge his duty as the President of the county.

“Congratulations to our country´s news President,” Haavisto wrote in his Facebook early Monday night, where he also thanked Stubb for the fair campaign in the election.

Haavisto also expressed his gratitude to all the people worked for the electoral association to achieve the great results and the people participate in the voting.

Stubb bagged 1575211 (51.6%) votes while Haavisto secured 1476548 (48.4%) votes in the second round ballot of the presidential election held on Sunday.
