Husband allegedly kills wife in Tampere

A woman was killed allegedly by her husband inside their residence at Meesakatu area in Tampere late Friday night, police said in a press release on Saturday.

The incident took place at about 9:30 pm in the apartment building and police recovered the body of the 43-year old victim with several marks of injuries.

The police also arrested the 44-year-old suspected killer from outside of the building responding to an alarm from the neighbouring people.

Police, however, did not divulge the detail identities of the deceased and the suspect but after the preliminary investigation they said that the woman was killed brutally allegedly by her husband.

The reason behind the murder could not be known immediately.

Police also said that the investigation was at very early stage and will continue further investigation through interrogating the suspect and examining the autopsy report.
