President Sauli Niinistö and his Ukranian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Tuesday held a telephone conversation and discussed various issues including Ukrainian peace formula, according to social media posts of the Presidents.

“Thank you, President Zelenskyy for another good and timely phone call today. We discussed widely on Ukrainian peace formula, advancing it and ensuring its broad support. Finland’s support for Ukraine remains strong and resolute,” Niinistö wrote in his social media platform X after the meeting.

Zelenskyy in his post in X also wrote that he spoke with Niinistö and thanked the Finnish President for his personal contribution to Finland's support for Ukraine.

“This support includes two dozen military aid packages, Finland's strong support for Ukraine's NATO integration, and the consolidation of international support, particularly in Asia, Africa, and Latin America,” Zelenskyy wrote in his post, adding that he trusts in a fruitful cooperation with Finland's next president.

Zelenskyy said that they also talked about the state of the battlefield, current security challenges, and preparations for the Global Peace Summit in Switzerland.
