Birth rate remains low in Finland in Jan-Oct

The number of births was 12,491 lower than that of deaths in Finland from January to October 2023, according to Statistics Finland.

The country's population, however, increased by 35,899 persons during the January–October period.

The reason for the increase was migration gain from abroad, since immigration exceeded emigration by 48,433.

Finland's population was 5,599,869 at the end of October.
