24.4% voters cast votes in advance in 5 days

A total of 10,43024 voters cast votes in advance in the parliamentary elections till Sunday, on the fifth day of the advance ballot begun on March 22, according to the information provided by the Ministry of Justice.
The number is 24.4% of the total voters eligible for the parliamentary elections this year.
The ratio of voter turnout in advance voting was highest in Pirkanmaa constancy with casting of 27.9% of total votes followed by Satakunta constituency 27.6%, Lapland 26,7% and Varsinais-Suomi 25.9%.
The lowest turnout was found in autonomous Åland where only 12.6% voters cast vote in advance so far followed by Oulu 22%, Uusimaa and Vaasa 23% each.
Advance voting will continue in Finland till Tuesday and the election will be held on April 2. The advance voting in Finnish missions abroad already ended on March 25.
A total 4277486 people including 2082297 men and 2195189 women are eligible to cast votes in the parliamentary elections to elect 200 members of the parliament out of 2424 candidates for the next four years.
