Man killed in road mishap in Kannonkoski

One person was killed in a road accident at Kannonkoski in Central Finland region on Saturday morning, police said.

The accident took place at about 10:30 am when a private car running on the wrong side of the road skidded off at Sininentie and collided with roadside stones and a tree.

The driver, a middle-aged man, who was alone in the car was killed on the spot in the accident.

The Police, however, did not divulge details about the deceased.

The reason behind the accident could not be known immediately but police said that the speed limit of the road was 100 kilometers per hour.

The Accident Investigation Board and Police are investigating into the incident to find out the circumstances surrounding the accident.
