The high-level seminar on developing relations and opportunities for cooperation between Finland and Estonia, scheduled to be held in Helsinki on Wednesday, has been postponed due to the dissolution of the Estonian government, said a press release issued by Finnish government on Monday.

In connection with the seminar, the prime ministers will also have a bilateral meeting to discuss the current security situation, EU affairs and other topical issues.

The scheduled meeting between Prime Minister Sanna Marin and her Estonian counterpart Kaja Kallas in connection with the seminar has been also postponed.

The seminar will be rescheduled for some time in the autumn.

The idea is to organise the seminar so that several ministers from both countries can attend.

The seminar will focus on developing relations between Finland and Estonia based on a report submitted to the prime ministers in March.

The report gives recommendations for cooperation around four key themes: digital leadership, vibrant economies, the green future and extended cultural and educational cooperation. The seminar will also focus on these themes.
