11 killed in road mishaps in March

A total of eleven people were killed and 166 other injured in 136 road accidents in Finland in March, according to Statistics Finland.
The number of persons killed was one higher and that of persons injured nine lower than in March 2021.
Of the persons who were killed, nine travelled by passenger car and one by lorry. Furthermore, one pedestrian was killed.
Among those who died, nine were men and two were women.
Meanwhile, a total of 32 people were killed and 672 other injured in 530 road accidents in January to March period.
The number of persons killed was two lower and that of persons injured 77 higher than in the corresponding period of 2021.
Of the persons who were killed, 27 travelled by passenger car and one by lorry. Pedestrians killed numbered four.
