Swedish PM, Defence Minister due in Helsinki for security talks

Sweden´s Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson and Defence Minister Peter Hultqvist will visit Finland on Saturday, said a government press release on Friday.

Andersson and Hultqvist will meet President Sauli Niinistö, Prime Minister Sanna Marin and Defence Minister Antti Kaikkonen during their visit.

The topics of their joint discussion will include Russia’s warfare in Ukraine, the changed security situation in Europe, and cooperation between Finland and Sweden.

Marin and Andersson will additionally have a bilateral meeting, the topics of which include the security situation in Europe, economic issues and other topical EU affairs.

Kaikkonen and Hultqvist will also conduct a bilateral discussion, the press release added.
