President Sauli Niinistö on Wednesday held a video conference with Swedish Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre and discussed the situation of Ukraine following Russia´s attack.

They also underscored the need for increasing Nordic security during the joint video conference, according to twitter posts on the leaders.

“Good to talk to Finnish President @niinisto and @SwedishPM Andersson, discussed war in Ukraine, situation in Europe and how to enhance our common Nordic security,” Støre wrote in his twitter after the meeting on Wednesday.

Earlier, Niinistö on Tuesday wrote in his twitter that he talks to the Norwegian Premier almost daily and always reached to the same conclusion of unity.

“Spoke again today to President @niinisto. Both our countries will support Ukraine with military self defense. Strong show of solidarity with the brave Ukrainian people, but also of Nordic unity,” Støre wrote in his twitter on Monday

Meanwhile, Niinistö had a telephone conversation with his counterpart in France Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday and exchanged views on the war in Ukraine, said the President Office in a press release.
