Putin dreams of a return to Russia's 19th century empire: Stubb

Former Prime Minister Alexander Stubb said that Russian President Vladimir Putin dreams of a return to Russia's empire of the 19th century, reported Cable News Network (CNN) on Tuesday.

Stubb, currently director of the School of Transnational Governance at the European University Institute talked to the number of international news media and pointed out various aspects of the present worsening security tension in Ukraine.

In the interview with the CNN, the former premier also expressed his concern over the Europeanization of Ukraine.

Stubb served as the Prime Minister of Finland from 2014 to 2015.
