Norwegian FM due today

Norway’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Anniken Huitfeldt will pay her first visit to Finland on Wednesday and have a meeting with his Finnish counterpart Pekka Haavisto, said the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in a press release on Tuesday.

In their meeting, the Foreign Ministers will discuss topical foreign and security policy questions and among other things the situation in Ukraine, Afghanistan, rule of law and UN affairs.

“Norway is a close partner for Finland. I look forward to an interesting exchange of views with Foreign Minister Huitfeldt,” Haavisto said.

Huitfeldt will also meet with President Sauli Niinistö, the press release added.
