2 killed, 4 injured in road mishap at Äänekoski

Two persons were killed and four others injured in a road accident at Äänekoski in Central Finland on Sunday afternoon.

Police said that the accident took place at about 12:40 pm when a private car skidded off the road at Konginkangas when it was turning into bypass lane and collided with three other vehicles-one truck and two private cars- coming from opposite direction.

Two people were killed on the spot while four others were injured in the accident.

Responding to a call police and rescue department people rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies.

The injured four people were taken to Jyväskylä Central Hospital.

The identity of the deceased could not be known, and police did not divulge detail about the victims and the accident.

The Police and the Accident Investigation Board are investigating into the accident to find out the reason behind the accident and the cause of the deaths.
