Pedestrian crushed under wheels at Kiiminki

A pedestrian was killed in road accident on Kuusamontie at Kiiminki in Northern Ostrobothnia on Saturday morning.

Police said that the accident took place at about 9:20 am when a Kuusamo bound speeding truck and a trailer crushed the pedestrian under the wheels one after another at the area, 14 kilometers away from the Kiiminki centre.

The pedestrian died on the spot, said the police.

The Police, however, did not divulge detail about the deceased.

The reason behind the accident could not be known immediately.

The Accident Investigation Board and Police are investigating into the incident to find out the circumstances surrounding the accident.
