1 killed in car-truck collision in Pedersöre

One person was killed and another wounded critically in a road accident on Kolpintie under Pedersöre municipality in Ostrobothnia region on Wednesday afternoon.
Police said that the accident took place at about 4:10 pm when a truck knocked down a private car from the behind.
The car, which was coming from the direction of Vaasa was trying to turn left at the time of the accident.
The truck was coming from Pietarsaari direction.
Driver of the car died on the spot while the rest passenger of the car was injured critically.
The injured person was taken to hospital.
The Police did not divulge detail about the deceased and the injured person.
The reason behind the accident could not be known immediately.
The Accident Investigation Board and Police are investigating into the incident to find out the circumstances surrounding the accident.
