US combat vessel Arleigh Burke visits Helsinki

An American guided-missile destroyer USS Arleigh Burke arrived at the Helsinki Port on Tuesday.

The vessel will be staying in Helsinki until Friday, said a press release issued by the Finnish Defence Forces on Tuesday.

The ship will not be open to public during the stay in Hernesaari port.

The visit of the combat vessel is hosted by Commander Jussi Jämsén, the Commander of the 7. Surface Warfare Squadron, Coastal Fleet.

The USS Arleigh Burke (DDG 51) is an Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer commanded by Commander Patrick Chapman.

The vessel is 154 meters long and 18 meters wide, and it has a crew of about 330.
