President of Estonia Alar Karis will make his first visit to Finland on Tuesday, said a press release issued by the Finnish President´s Office.

President Sauli Niinistö will meet the visiting Estonian counterpart at the Presidential Palace.

The topics of discussion will include bilateral relations between Finland and Estonia, as well as other topical international issues.

At the end the meeting, the Presidents will hold a joint press conference.

The first visit of Karis to Finland, which was earlier scheduled for October 14 had been postponed due to President Niinistö’s COVID-19 exposure.

Niinistö later on 18 October ended his self-quarantine after the result of the coronavirus test for him was found negative.

Alar Karis started his presidential term on 11 October.
