2 killed in Lapinlahti, Pieksämäki, 4 held

Two people were killed in separate incidents at Lapinlahti and Pieksämäki on Saturday and late Friday night, police said on Saturday.

A man of about 60 years was reportedly killed in his apartment at Lapinlahti in Northern Savonia region on Saturday morning.

Responding to a call police rush to the spot and recovered the body from there.

Sensing the incident as murder, the Police arrested a woman from the apartment and investigating into her involvement in the suspected murder.

The police did not disclose detail of the victim or the suspect at the initial stage of the investigation.

Meanwhile, a middle-aged man was allegedly killed at Pieksämäki in Southern Savonia region late Friday night.

Responding to a call, the police rushed to the spot and recovered the body from the stairwell of his apartment building.

The Police arrested two men and a woman in connection with the murder.

During the preliminary investigation, one of the men admitted his involvement in the killing the owner of the apartment.

The police did not disclose detail of the victim or the suspect at the initial stage of the investigation.

The suspect will be placed before the court for imprisonment.
