FM begins 2-day China visit on Saturday

Minister for Foreign Affairs Pekka Haavisto will visit China on 24–25 July, said an official press release.
During his visit, Haavisto will meet his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi in Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan province,
They will discuss key bilateral issues, the EU-China relations and topical international questions.
The purpose of the Foreign Minister´s visit is to agree on a mid-term review of the Joint Action Plan on bilateral partnership between China and Finland, promote the operating conditions for Finnish companies in China, have an exchange of views on China’s human rights situation and discuss the Coalition of Finance Ministers for Climate Action.
Haavisto will also have discussion with the Governor of Sichuan Province Huang Qiang.
The discussion will focus on bilateral cooperation between Finland and Sichuan province, especially as regards the commercial and economic sectors.
