8 injured in separate violence in south-western Finland, 7 held

At least eight people were injured in separate incidents of violence at Turku, Pori and Pargas early Saturday, the police said in a press release.
The police arrested seven people in connections with the incidents, including two attempted murders.
An incident of violence took place at a bar at Koulukatu in Turku when a group of 20-25 people locked into a clash at about 3:30 am, police and local media said.
The clash occurred when a customer threw chair to another customer centering around a trifling mater. The customer equipped with a knife also threatened the owner during the clash. Later the violence erupted to the market square.
The Police rushed to the spot and arrested the suspected person in this connection.
Meanwhile, two people were injured, one of them critically when an incident of violence broke out at the intersection of Linnankatu and Aurakatu in Turku at about 1:00 am.
Responding to an alarm, members of the law enforcing agency rushed to the spot and found several people there and brought the situation under control.
One of the victims was sent to the hospital while the rest one was released after giving first aid.
The suspect, a boy of 17 years old fled the scene but later reported to the police at the noon.
The Police are investigating into the incident to know detail in this regard.
At the same place, one person was injured when he was beaten by miscreants at about 4:00 am. Responding to a call the police rushed to the spot and found a man of 20 years was lying down on the ground. They held two women of 20 years in connection with the attack and sent the victim to hospital.
In another incident, a man stormed into a hotel in the city centre of Pargas and beat a female staff of the hotel in the morning.
Both police and border guard patrols rushed to the spot but the suspected criminal managed to escape.
He, however, was arrested later from a nearby area. The victim sustained minor wound and was given first aid.
Meanwhile, one person was injured when a miscreant attacked him with sharp knife at Eteläkauppatori area in Pori early Saturday night at about 2:00 am. The Police arrested the 30-years old attacker and interrogated him to probe into the matter. The victim was admitted to the hospital.
Another incident of fighting took place at Siltapuistokatu in Pori when five people belonging two small group involved in a clash at about 4:00 am.
Police said that the clash erupted a sequel of quarrel between the two groups. At a certain stage they attacked each other resulting three people sustained minor wounds. The police arrested two people from the spot.
