Shop in Kajaani robbed, 1 held

A robber at gunpoint took away valuable and cash from a stationary shop in Purola area of Kajaani on Saturday.

The police said the incident took place in the morning, when the robber entered the shop immediately after its opening and snatched a small amount of money from the cash box.

The armed robber also took a few packets of cigarette and fled the scene.

Responding to a call, the members of law-enforcing agency rushed to the spot and arrested the suspected robber along with the looted money and cigarettes in the nearby area, based on the information given by the storekeeper.

The police are investigating the case as robbery but did not divulge any more detail in this regard at the initial stage of investigation.
