Marin, Ratas discuss COVID-19, EU issues

Prime Minister Sanna Marin on Monday held a video conference with her Estonian counterpart Jüri Ratas.

The two heads of government discussed various issues such as bilateral and international ones, according to an official press release.

The discussion focused on coronavirus situation and progress on vaccine coverage in the EU, and other topical EU matters.

Marin thanked Estonia for its good management of the Nordic-Baltic NB8 cooperation format during its term as coordinator in 2020. As coordinator of the NB8 cooperation format this year, Finland will be focusing on the digital transformation, innovation, and climate policy.

Earlier, on 8 January, Prime Minister Sanna Marin held a video conference with her Lithuanian counterpart Ingrida Šimonytė and discussed various issues such as bilateral relations, EU affairs, and international topics.
