1 killed as fire guts house in Jämsä

One person was killed after a fire gutted a detached house at Länkipohja area in Jämsä early Saturday, said a police press release.
Police said that the fire broke out in the early morning and rushed to the spot responding to a call from a person of the neighbouring house at about 4:25am.
Emergency service people found the house burnt completely and recovered a body from the debris of the house.
The reason behind the origin of the fire could not be known immediately.
Police said that the deceased might be the owner of the house who lived there alone.
Police, however, initially do not suspect link to any criminal activities in the incident.
The law enforcing agency is investigating into the incident.
