The mayor and deputy mayors of the City of Helsinki on Thursday started remote working after one of the deputy mayors had been infected with coronavirus.
Deputy Mayor for Culture and Leisure of the City Corporation Nasima Razmyar was diagnosed with coronavirus infection on Wednesday, said the city in a press release on Thursday.
The Helsinki epidemiological unit has started to trace exposed persons following the infection.
Mayor Jan Vapaavuori, Deputy Mayor Sanna Vesikansa, Deputy Mayor Anni Sinnemäki and Deputy Mayor Pia Pakarinen have completely switched to remote work due to likely exposure.
The tracing of other exposed persons is still going on, the press release added.
