Man injured in shooting in Pori, suspect held

A man was injured on Friday evening in a shooting incident in Pori, west Finland, police said.

The police detained a male suspect following the incident. The victim was taken to hospital. Police told local media that they would not release further details until Saturday at the earliest.

On Thursday, police intervened in a violent clash between groups of immigrants in Pori. There has been no report on whether Friday's shooting was connected to the ethnic tension outburst on Thursday.
