1 killed, 4 injured in knife attack at monastery in Poland

One person was killed and four others were injured in a knife attack at a monastery in southeastern Poland on Thursday, reported Xinhua, quoting local media.

A 31-year-old Ukrainian citizen attacked four men and a woman with a knife at a monastery in the city of Jaroslaw on Thursday morning, the report of Rzeszow Info said.

All five victims, including three priests, were taken to hospital, where one of the men later died.

Police have detained the suspect, while the circumstances of the attack remain under investigation.
