8 killed in bus crash in southern Turkey

Eight people were killed and 26 others injured when a passenger bus travelling in southern Türkiye's Antalya province veered off the road and overturned into a ditch on Sunday, reported Xinhua, quoting local broadcaster NTV.

The bus crashed after hitting roadside barriers, with 34 passengers on board. Emergency teams were dispatched to the scene following reports of the crash.

The injured were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.

Antalya, a popular tourist destination on the Mediterranean, has been hit by heavy rain in recent days.
