Ukraine has a potential to export 50 million tons of crops from this year's harvest, Nikolay Gorbachov, president of the Ukrainian Grain Association (UGA), said Wednesday reported Xinhua.

"I think it will be technically feasible to supply 50 million tons of grain and oil crops to foreign markets," Gorbachov was cited as saying by the Interfax-Ukraine news agency.

Ukraine is also expected to export about 10 million tons of vegetable oil and meal products made of this year's crops, he added.

Ukraine has a capacity to ship abroad about 6 million tons of crops per month, Gorbachev said, estimating the potential of alternative Black Sea grain corridor at between 3 and 4 million tons.

Ukraine exported about 58 million tons of grain and oilseeds in the 2022-2023 marketing year, which ended on June 30, according to the UGA.

The association expected that the country's combined grain and oilseeds harvest will reach 81 million tons this year.
