2 gunned down in Hamburg

Two men were killed in shots fired late on Saturday night in Hamburg, the public prosecutor's office said on Sunday.

A 50-year-old man shot and killed a 42-year-old man then shot himself, police said later on Sunday. The two men knew each other before the deadly incident, the police said.

The shooting occurred in the home of the older man. Neighbours reported hearing shots fired, the police said.

Police did not make any statements as to whether the shooting occurred in the rocker scene, as some media outlets reported.

Police are continuing to investigate.
