German police have detained a man suspected of forging hundreds of coronavirus vaccine certificates, reported dpa.
Some 400 forged vaccination certificates and thousands of vaccine stickers were found in the man's possession in Nuremberg.
At least 34 customers of the 31-year-old are said to have tried to get a digital vaccination certificate with the forged paper certificates in pharmacies in the region, prosecutors said on Monday.
Under rules announced at the end of last month, most shops and leisure facilities in Germany can only be accessed if you are either vaccinated or have recovered from Covid-19.
The man is now in custody on suspicion of "commercial preparation of the production of false vaccination certificates."
At his flat, investigators also found blank vaccination cards and stamps from doctors' offices.
His alleged customers are being investigated.
