Russia's COVID-19 cases up 28,284 to 3,050,248

Russia registered 28,284 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, taking its total to 3,050,248, the country's COVID-19 response center said in a statement on Sunday, reported Xinhua.

Meanwhile, 552 new deaths were reported, taking the nationwide count to 54,778. And 2,450,829 people have recovered, including 24,390 new recoveries, the response center said.

Moscow, the country's worst-hit region, reported 6,620 new cases, taking its tally of infections to 786,204, it said.
