Two teenagers have received prison sentences for their parts in an extreme right wing operation, Britain's Counter Terrorism Policing North East said Tuesday.

Michal Szewczuk, aged 19 from Leeds, was sentenced to four years and three months in prison and Oskar Dunn-Koczorowski, aged 18 from London, was sentenced to 18 months.

At an earlier hearing at the Old Bailey in London, Szewczuk pleaded guilty to two counts of Encouraging Terrorism and five counts of possession of material likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism.

Dunn-Koczorowski pleaded guilty to two counts under the Terrorism Act.

The pair were arrested in December 2018 by officers from counter terrorism police, supported by officers from Hampshire and Avon and Somerset police.

Material seized by police included imagery and remarks suggesting Queen Elizabeth's grandson, Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, was a race traitor who should be shot. The remarks came after the prince married American mixed-race actress Meghan Markle.

The material also said white women who dated non-white men should be hanged.

University student Szewczuk created an image of Prince Harry with a pistol to his head against a blood-covered background.

Judge Rebecca Poulet said in her judgment: "The material was uniformly violent and threatening," adding that the nature of the violence included rape and execution.

Detective Chief Superintendent Martin Snowden, head of Counter Terrorism Policing North East, said: "The considerable amount of material they have posted on social media channels not only reflects their extremist beliefs but was intended to encourage others to carry out despicable acts."

"Both men have developed and evolved their interest in the extreme right wing ideology over time through research and connecting with like-minded individuals," added the detective chief.
