Wage, salary increase by 2.4% in June Y-on-Y

The working day adjusted wages and salaries sum of the whole economy was 2.4 per cent higher in June 2026 than in June 2025, according to Statistics Finland.

The seasonally adjusted wages and salaries sum of the whole economy didn't change in June from the previous month.

The working day adjusted wages and salaries sum increased in the private sector by 1.4 per cent from the previous year.

The working day adjusted wages and salaries sum increased in the public sector by 4.0 per cent from the previous year while decreased in the industry of private health and social work by 0.2 per cent.

The wages and salaries sum increased in the industry of private education by 4.4 per cent in June 2026 year-on-year.

In the private sector, the seasonally adjusted wages and salaries sum decreased by 0.6 per cent and in the public sector increased by 0.8 per cent in June from the month before.

The working day adjusted wages and salaries sum grew in June 2026 in majority of main industries but decreased in the industries of private health and social work compared to June 2025.

The growth was moderate in the industries of private education (4.4%), other services (2.2%), finance and insurance activities (2.1%), construction (2,0%), manufacturing (1.2%) and trade (0.6%).

At the same period the working day adjusted wages and salaries sum decreased in the industry of private health and social work (0.2%).
