Petrol, diesel prices rise by 18% and 25% in July Y-on-Y

The price of diesel increased by 25.1 per cent in July 2026 compared to the price in the stipulated month of the previous year, according to Statistics Finland.
The annual rise of the average price for petrol E-95 was 17.8 per cent and for petrol E-98 was 16.8 per cent.
The annual increase of the average price for light fuel oil was 27.3 per cent.
Meanwhile, average prices of liquid fuels decreased in July 2026 compared to the prior month.
The average price with taxes for diesel was EUR 2.1 and for petrol 95, EUR 2.1 per litre.
The equivalent average price for petrol 98 was EUR 2.2 and for light fuel oil EUR 1.6.
The monthly change of the average price was biggest for diesel (2.8%) and smallest for petrol 95 (1.9%).
