Building costs rise by 2.5% in June Y-on-Y

Building costs increased by 2.5 per cent in June 2026 compared to the stipulated period of the previous year, according to Statistics Finland.

Among materials, the biggest cost increases in the year were recorded in heat, water and sewer supplies (7.0%) and in house equipment (4.5%).

Costs decreased most in the year in soil (6.7%).

Labour input costs increased by 4.5 per cent in June 2026 compared to a year ago while the costs of materials increased by 1.7 per cent.

The costs of services, however, remained unchanged.
